The Stars have agreed to terms on a two-year contract for enforcer Krys Barch worth $1.675 million. Barch will make $825,000 this upcoming season and $850,000 in 2011-12, a slight rise from his salary this past year.

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Dane Byers on a contract extension. Byers, 24, skated in five games with the Rangers this season, registering one goal and 31 penalty minutes. He notched his first career NHL goal in his season debut on October 30 at Minnesota. Byers spent most of the season with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, recording 25 goals and 27 assists for 52 points, along with 100 penalty minutes in 74 games. He established career-highs in goals, points and power play goals (13).

Tomas Holmstrom has agreed to terms on a two-year deal that will bring the veteran forward back to the Red Wings, according to an Associated Press report. The team confirmed the deal Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
